Life Chats #1

Hey guys! Today I wanted to start a new series on my blog, although, I am not the best at keeping up with different series as you might have noticed. I am calling this Life Chats because I will be addressing a few differnt topics and hopefully some of you can add on or comment your thoughts in the comments below. This will be a mixture of advice and personal opinions on things which I hope will be interesting and helpful for all of you.

1. Experimenting With Style

So recently, I have been wanting to try out different styles and looks but have been hesitant for some reason. Maybe it was because I thought people would judge me or comment negtively about what I was doing. But then I just decided that it doesn’t matter what people think and that it doesn’t negatively impact anyone else so there was no good reason to worry. Basically what I amtrying to say is experiment with your style and adjust it to what you life and feel comfortable with. Some people don’t bode well to change, and that’s ok! You don’t have to change yourself to fit others’ perceptions of you. If you want to try something out like a certain style or look, do it and see how you like it.

2. Happiness/Balancing Life

When you don’t have a balanced life, sometimes it can be hard to find enough happiness or positive thoughts. Plan out what you need to do for the day because that can really help you stay organized and not feel as stressed or overwhelmed with your thoughts. Second, find something that you enjoy and you can do for relaxation. It will help you have a few moments of peace and rest which is important and is a good motivator. Obviously, it needs to be balanced though so there is a point when you relax or take a break for too long and end up causing more stress for yourself. Make sure that what you are doing isn’t something that will take too long or have to finish in one sitting. Alleviating some of your stress actually helps you get whatever you need to do quicker.

3. The Future

I think this has personally been something that worries me a lot and kind of scares me in a way since I’m at that age when I have to be thinking of career choices and colleges. It still worries me because I am not someone who has picked a career and is focused soley on that. I think my advice so far has been that I will continue to look at different options and interests and to keep a few different plans on what I can do. I do believe that one day I will figure out what I want to do but I try to focus on looking for options and advancing in what I know I am good at. There should be an element of uncertainty and worry about the future but it should be kept to a level that doesn’t hinder your present life because a life full of fear and worry isn’t something that most people want.

4. Reaching Goals

For me, setting certain goals can be hard to stick to but I have learned a lot more over the years that I am personally working on with reaching goals that I have set. First, distinguish between a goal and a want. A goal you set is something you will or will try to commit to. A want can literally be anything realistic or unrealistic. Make sure your goals are reachable and definitely give yourself the time you need to complete that goal. Do not make your time limit too short because that will lead to decreasing motivation when you see that you can’t reach it within the time you gave yourself. Do not make the time limit too long either because then you might start procrastinating or putting things off. Also, tell others about your goals because it may help you feel more motivated to complete them.

That is all I am going to talk about today. I hope you’ve enjoyed this because I enjoy sharing advice and opinions on different things.
